Manon Labrecque
MONTRÉAL, Canada

Multidisciplanary artist Manon Labrecque trained in contemporary dance and visual art. She works in video  (single channel and installations), performance, drawing, photography, sculpture and kinetic and sound installations. Her work has been shown in Québec, Germany, Mexico and England. Shown at various festivals in Canada and abroad, her videos have been honoured at the Rendez-vous du cinéma québécois (1998 and 2007).

VU PHOTO

Founded in 1981, VU is an artist-run centre devoted to the development of contemporary photography. Its varied program comprises exhibitions, conferences and public tours of its studios, which house silver-based and digital production equipment. The centre supports emerging practices and encourages critical reflection on current photography, in part through its publishing mandate and residency program. VU is a member of the Méduse cooperative
