In the same spirit of exploration that gave rise to Chaudières, déplacements et paysages in 2009, Alan Lake pursues choreographic research that integrates dance and the visual arts. This time, he is sculpting Là-bas, le lointain, a three-part “construction” involving a film, a choreography and a danced installation, a kind of moving machine. “A far-off place that cuts to the quick, leading the body to lose itself in sumptuous fog!”[A.L]
