LE LIEU

Since 1982, Le Lieu has been engaged in sedentary activities in Québec City and in nomadic operations, activities and projects elsewhere in the world. Its multidisciplinary character means that installation, performance, action art, audio art, sound poetry, video and other explorations of the parameters of artistic expression regularly rub shoulders. Le Lieu has always included in situ and extramural activities in its program, in addition to practices that are currently known as interdisciplinary, maneuver or relational aesthetics. To promote exchange and address the thorny question of documenting ephemeral practices, Le Lieu has developed the means to bring generations of artists into direct interaction, thus encouraging the transfer of knowledge locally and internationally. Networking has always been a leitmotif of Le Lieu.
